Consumer Withdrawal Notice

This Notice is for consumers who enter into the Assertum contract at a distance. It supplements the Terms of Service.
Your 14-day right
If EU, EEA or other applicable consumer law gives you a distance-contract withdrawal right, you may withdraw from the Assertum contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
The withdrawal period begins on the day the contract is concluded — normally when you create the account by accepting the Terms through Google Sign-In — and expires 14 days later.
You may use the free Service immediately. Assertum does not ask you to waive the 14-day right or acknowledge that you lose it merely because access begins.
How to withdraw
Before the 14-day period expires, send an unambiguous statement that you want to withdraw:

You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. It is enough to send your statement before the deadline. Keep a copy of what you send.
Deleting your account within the 14-day period also ends access, but if you want to rely formally on the withdrawal right, send a withdrawal statement as well so that your intention is clear.
Effect of withdrawal
Withdrawal ends the Assertum contract and access to the account. Because version 1.0 is free, there is no subscription payment to refund.
We will process account deletion as described in the Privacy Notice. Live account data is deleted; backups are overwritten within 30 days; and a limited pseudonymous deletion ledger may remain for 24 months based on Assertum’s legitimate interest in preventing repeated registration from resetting free quota. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of personal-data processing that occurred before withdrawal or any processing that remains lawful for a separate reason.
